Chani Cordero is the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Carl R. Darnall Army Community Hospital a 151 bed hospital, expertly leads a staff of 70 Information Technology professionals responsible for the strategic goals and IT sustainment plans for the organization.

Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Director of the Information Management Division (IMD), Medical Education Training Campus (METC). All Department of Defense (DoD) enlisted medical personnel train at METC, and as the CIO/G6 for METC, provides IT support for the 49 training programs, 1,200 faculty/staff & 24,000 students annually. Serves as the senior IT executive and advisor to the command on all information management (IM) and information technology (IT) policy, plans, and governance processes. Additionally, leads a staff of 71 IT professionals in IT Project Management, System Development, Network Operations, Helpdesk Operations, Telephone Services and Audio/Visual Support Services. Responsible for the IM Strategic Plan and IT sustainment plan for over 10,000 IT capital devices valued at $40M across 14 campus buildings totaling 2.9M square feet. Additionally, serves as a liaison with the Fort Sam Houston Network Enterprise Center, the Army Medical Department Center & School, the Air Education & Training Command, and the 502nd Communications Squadron. Lastly, serves as the principle advisor to the training program directors to assess and support clinical information training systems, usability, data analysis and related medical device integration projects.
